Pantone® Color of The Year – We Got You Covered

Looking to stay ahead your competitors with the latest and greatest? You may have heard, Pantone® just announced their color of the year! Good news for you, we have a variation of this color in most of our fabric offerings.

Starting back in 2000, the Pantone® Color Institute began declaring a specific color “Color of the Year.” In a European capitol, the company will host biannual secret meetings of representatives of different nations’ color standards group. Two days of debate and presentations will go by and at the end, a color of the year is chosen. The color usually has some specific meaning to current events, aspirations for the future, or specific ties to history.

“The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.”

Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute.

This year, the color chosen 18-3838 ULTRA VIOLET is said to be “inventive and imaginative, Ultra Violet lights the way to what is yet to come.” The company goes on to describe the color as “A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.”
