Drapery: Fabric Types And Descriptions
The industry standard fabric for trade show drapery is Banjo Drape. Banjo is a dobby-weave fabric made from a medium-sheen polyester yarn. It is inherently flame resistant, machine washable, and we offer it in 27 stock colors.
Poly Premier is a polyester fabric with a more upscale look and feel and matte-like finish. It is used often as an alternative to Banjo Drape and also comes in a wide variety of colors.
Performance Velour is more upscale fabric with blackout and sound dampening qualities. It is also polyester based, comes in 14oz and 21oz versions, and comes in an array of colors.
Poly Knit is a specialty fabric with a high sheen that is often used for table skirting. It works well with up-lighting and other applications due to its translucent properties.
Sheer drape is a very translucent fabric and is the most popular choice for fabric related to wedding decor. It is often used for ceiling swags and colum wraps and used for layering with valances and multi-drape setups.
Commando fabric is an economical blackout/masking fabric made to industry standard for blackout drape. It is often sold by the roll, but can be cut into drape panels as well.
Duvetyne fabric is similar to Commando, but not 100% blackout. It is good for masking/blocking areas backstage or dividing rooms.
