Telescoping Uprights:

New for 2006:

Heavy Duty 2" Tele-Uprights available as either Button Lock, Full Adjustable or Both together in one Upright!

For applications where Fixed Uprights do not offer enough flexibility, Georgia Expo Telescoping Uprights provide the answer.  They are extremely versatile and easy to adjust providing heights to 20 ft.  Our Heavy duty 2" Tele-Uprights adjust in either precise 1 Ft. increments using our unique double button lock system or are fully adjustable using our New Locking Clamp.  For maximum flexibility you can order both the Button Locks and Locking Clamp together in one upright.  They set up quickly, and easily.  Because of their 2" diameter they are available as Slip Fit only and require Bases with 2" x 6" Slip Fit Nipples.  With our 2" Tele-Uprights we recommend using only our Super Heavy Duty 18" x 18" or 24" x 24" Slip Fit Bases.

1 1/2" Telescoping Uprights are available as Button Lock Only in either Slip Fit or Screw In and are compatible with all Georgia Expo Bases.

2" Tele-Upright: Our 2" Telescoping Uprights are available in one of three different variations, LC - Locking Clamp, BL - Button Lock or a LCB - Combination of both together in one extremely versatile Tele-Upright.  Every 2" Tele-Upright features a ruler attached to the inner piece to make adjustment quick and easy.  2" Tele-Uprights are available as Slip Fit only. 

LC - Locking Clamp:  Our custom Locking Clamp attaches to the inner piece of the Tele-Upright  allowing the Tele-Upright to be locked at any desired height within its operating range.

BL - Button Lock: Button Lock Tele-Uprights feature our unique solid steel double button lock system that adjusts in precise 1 ft. increments.  These uprights feature of a double width keyway on the inside tube.  With this feature you are able to slightly rotate the inner tube clockwise to bypass unwanted button stops and rotate it counter clockwise to lock the upright at the exact height you want. 

LCB - Combination: These Tele-Uprights feature all of the advantages of the Locking Clamp and the Button Lock tele-Uprights in one Upright.

Telescoping Upright Locking Clamp Assembly and Adjustment Instructions:  To prevent damage during shipping the Locking Clamp has been shipped separately.  To Install the Locking Clamp onto the Tele-Upright first release the handle on the Locking Clamp.  Then separate the inner and outer tubes of the Tele-Upright and slip the Locking Clamp over the smaller tube.  Set the Tele-Upright to the desired height and return the handle to the locked position.

Note:  The Locking Clamp has been adjusted at the factory, however a small adjustment may be necessary prior to use.  Using a 3/8" wrench adjust the locking clamp adjustment nuts so the Tele-Upright will support 40 lbs. without slipping.  After this initial adjustment the Locking Clamp should require no further adjustment.

Caution:  Before releasing the Locking Handle remove all Drape Supports and lower the Tele-Upright to a near horizontal position to prevent the Tele-Upright from rapidly closing and possibly causing injury.
