Banjo Cloth: Inherent Banjo FR is the standard expo cloth that has been the industry standard convention fabric for many years. This woven, open weave, 4.8 ounce, 100 % Polyester fabric has been developed to be inherently flame resistant. It will not loose its flame resistant characteristics even after repeated washings. We have tested this fabric out to twenty-five washings and found no loss of performance. Because Banjo |Cloth is an open weave you will be able to see through it when it is lighted from behind. Banjo is not recommended when black out performance is needed. It is available in a wide variety of standard colors or may be custom dyed to your specifications. Contact your sales representative for the yardage required for a custom dye lot. Due to its construction, Banjo Cloth will vary slightly in color between dye lots. If you are dye lot sensitive, actual samples of the fabric used to produce your order can be submitted for your approval prior to production. Flame Certification: Every Georgia Expo fabric has been designed and manufactured to pass certain flame resistance tests. Each has been tested to and has passed both the NFPA 701 (Rev 1999) and California Small scale Tests. The California Small Scale Test is generally recognized as the national standard and each Georgia Expo fabric has been registered with the State of California. Affidavits of flame resistance are included with every order. Our fabrics should be laundered using only the methods listed below to ensure continued performance. Care Instructions: Banjo, Poly Premier, Poly Knit, Expo Knit and Poly Sateen: This group of high performance fabrics have all been designed to provide maximum flame resistance and proper care is required to achieve years of service. Drapes and Table Skirts may be machine washed in cold water, using a mild detergent, such as Ivory Snow. The detergent should be added to the water prior to adding the fabric. After washing, they may be placed in a clothes dryer using the air only setting. Remove them promptly to reduce wrinkling. Drapes and Table Skirts may be ironed using a cool setting. The finishing process used during dyeing adds to the stiffness of the fabric that may cause these fabrics to crease or wrinkle more when new. Avoid exposure to high heat, above 140 degrees, as it will cause significant shrinkage. The use of strong detergents or detergents applied directly to the fabric may cause the color to streak. Never use bleach. Velour 16 oz. and 21 oz.: This fabric should be cleaned by brushing the fabric with a stiff brush. Dry cleaning or washing will remove the flame resistance and possibly damage the fabric. Velour should not come into contact with water. |
