Green Footprint

We’ve been planet friendly for a long time. Eco-friendly products? We’ve got you covered. Recycling? Done it for years. As manufacturers, we understand the importance of preserving the planet and make a conscious effort to incorporate a variety of green initiatives.

We recently introduced a new method of finishing our custom designed Storage & Transportation Carts used for Pipe and Drape and other exhibition products. This new powder coating process forms a colored finish, much harder than conventional paint. In addition the process is more environmentally friendly – emitting near zero volatile organic compounds (VOC).

When working with fabric, we cut every roll of fabric to achieve a minimum amount of waste. What is left is used for color samples to send to customers or recycled through a variety of non-profit entities. This not only reduces our landfills, it gives back to our community. We are even researching ways to take back and recycle drapes and table skirts no longer used by our customers.

In our metal fabrication department, 100% of all our steel and aluminum scrap is recycled. An additional benefit of this program is - it helps us keep our prices lower.

Our disposable waste basket is manufactured from the highest level of post-consumer content possible, up to 70%. We print the surface using biodegradable, food grade, soy based inks. This process eliminates the use of solvents in the product as well as during the manufacturing process. The trash bags are 100% biodegradable.

Our disposable waste basket offers a greater green factor than many reusable alternatives. Put simply, with proper foresight and engineering, being green can be environmental while also being economical.

Georgia Expo's signature Base Weights are made from 100% recycled tires and last a lifetime! Looking ahead, we're researching several innovative methods of heating and cooling our facility more efficiently and reclaiming heat used during our manufacturing processes. We are also developing a strategy to create a totally paperless company. This system will extend to all aspects of our business from purchasing and financing, to production and invoicing, ultimately eliminating the use of paper.

It's obvious to see that at Georgia Expo, we take the environment pretty seriously. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint while offering superior quality at the lowest possible cost.
